Shen Beili, Vice Chairperson of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF), held separate talks with guests and student representatives from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) and Singapore who attended the 2025 Soong Ching Ling Children's Future Science Day and the 20th Soong Ching Ling Children's Invention Award Ceremony on Aug 18 in Xiong'an.

Shen warmly welcomed the delegations and expressed appreciation to the organizations that actively encouraged youth participation in the Invention Award activities. She noted that the Future Science Day and the Invention Award are flagship CSCLF programs designed to cultivate scientific innovation among young people. She highlighted that Hong Kong students have participated in the award for many years with outstanding achievements, while Singaporean students, in their very first participation, had several entries shortlisted for the finals and won prizes - a result worth congratulating. Shen added that the CSCLF will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Hong Kong SAR and Singapore across science, culture, and public welfare to promote mutual learning, friendship, and joint progress among youth.
Representatives including Cai Haixuan, Deputy Executive Director of the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association, and Lee Hai-chow, Director of the Tan Kah Kee Foundation in Singapore, expressed their gratitude to the CSCLF for providing opportunities for young people to broaden their horizons, nurture interest in science, and gain valuable experiences. They voiced hopes for continued cooperation with the CSCLF to contribute to the growth and development of young people. Student representatives also shared their reflections, saying that the activities offered inspiration and encouragement through exchanges with peers from different regions, and expressed eagerness to participate again in the future.
The meeting was also attended by Guo Xinbao, Director of the CSCLF Youth Science and Culture Exchange Center; Yu Xin, Deputy Director of the CSCLF Department of International Cooperation and Exchange (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs); and Zhan Deming, Deputy Director of the Funds Department.
