The 26th "Beibei Cup" Youth Football Tournament 2025 is scheduled to open at Phoenix Township of Zhangjiagang, a city of East China's Jiangsu province, on July 16 amid the fervent atmosphere of the 2025 Jiangsu Football City League.
The 26th "Beibei Cup" Youth Football Tournament 2025, jointly held by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF), the Chinese Football Association (CFA) and Zhangjiagang Municipal People's Government, aims to showcase youths' passion for football and ignite their enthusiasm as well as dream.
Carry forward traditions and nurture dream
The CSCLF, the All-China Sports Federation (ACSF), and the Zhenye Rubber Factory in Shazhou County (contemporary Zhangjiagang) jointly organized the first "Beibei Cup" Youth Football Tournament in August 1983. Since then, the youth football tournament event has been held in Suzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Guiyang, Yanji, Chengdu, Lanzhou, Zhengzhou and other cities with the participation of delegations from nearly 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.
The "Beibei Cup" Youth Football Tournament was successfully held for 18 consecutive times from 1983 to 2001, playing an important role in promoting the football development among Chinese young people and forging tremendous momentum for youths in the pursuit of their football dream. Additionally, it has filled a gap in Chinese youth football competitions and further sparked their passion for football.
In 2016, the "Beibei Cup" Youth Football Tournament made a grand return and was added to the CFA's list of planned events. It has become the earliest and most influential nationwide youth football tournament with the largest times. Many well-known domestic football players such as Fan Zhiyi, Yang Chen, Sun Jihai, Shao Jiayi and Wu Lei used to take part in the youth football tournament event and embarked on their football career there.

The "Beibei Cup" Youth Football Tournament focuses on football development of children and teenagers and is dedicated to fostering their love for football and helping them find happiness in the process. Youths run freely in sweat on the pitch field, strengthening their physical and mind building, nurturing such virtues as cooperation, coordination, perseverance and hard work, and promoting their comprehensive growth.
At the opening ceremony of the 26th "Beibei Cup" Youth Football Tournament 2025, Chinese football legends and former attendees of the special football tournament will join in junior players in a friendly match. In addition, those football tycoons are expected to share personal understanding of health, happiness and development behind sport culture philosophies and hold interactions with youth representatives in the "Future Classroom: Getting together on the Pitch and Building Future Football Dream".
