Li Bin, Chairperson of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation(CSCLF), meets with Zhang Sujiu, the youngest daughter of Zhang Zhizhong (1890-1969), a famous anti-Japanese general and honorary council member of the Foundation on June 7 in Beijing.
Li expressed gratitude to Zhang Sujiu for her support for the Foundation's work, noting her significant contributions to facilitating Sino-American cultural exchanges and connections. Li emphasized the importance of enhancing friendly exchanges between Chinese and American youth for the future of Sino-American relations. She commended Zhang Sujiu for her tireless efforts in promoting mutual understanding between China and the United States and fostering interactions among Chinese and American youth. Li also stated that the Foundation is willing to play an active role in strengthening the foundation of friendly relations between the Chinese and American people.
Zhang expressed her hope to make greater efforts in promoting people-to-people exchanges between China and the United States and contributing to the development of bilateral relations.
The Vice Chairperson of the Foundation, Shen Beili, and the Secretary-General, Zhang Jiming, attended the meeting. Prior to the meeting, Zhang Sujiu and her delegation visited the China Soong Ching Ling Youth Science and Culture Exchange Center.
