On March 27, Li Bin, Chairperson of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF), met with Mr. Ng Boon Heong, Chief Executive Officer of Temasek Foundation and his delegation in Beijing.
During the meeting, Li highlighted that the year 2023 had been a year of robust development in Sino-Singaporean relations, characterized by frequent high-level exchanges and increasingly close people-to-people interactions. Li expressed the willingness to collaborate with new partners such as Temasek Foundation, aiming to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries. This collaboration seeks to leverage respective strengths and engage in exchanges and cooperation in the realms of youth-oriented science and technology, culture, and public welfare, with the shared goal of contributing to the promotion of friendly ties between China and Singapore.
In response, Mr. Ng Boon Heong expressed that Temasek Foundation's concept of "benefiting future generations" aligns with Soong Ching Ling's vision of "creating the future." He expressed the hope to continuously deepen cooperation with CSCLF in the fields of youth exchanges and public welfare projects. He also mentioned the desire to combine efforts with projects such as "For the Next Generation" to enhance people-to-people exchanges and contribute greater efforts to the deepening development of China-Singapore relations.
The meeting was also attended by Jing Dunquan, Vice Chairperson of CSCLF. Prior to the meeting, Mr. Ng Boon Heong and his delegation visited China Soong Ching Ling Science and Culture Exchange Center for Young People.
