Yu Qun, vice-chairman of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF), met with Kim Hee-young, chairman of the T&C Foundation, at Soong Ching Ling's Former Residence, on Nov 1.
Both sides signed a memorandum of understanding, agreeing to jointly promote international exchanges between teenagers.

Yu extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He said that both sides had maintained close ties since CSCLF Chairman Wang Jiarui visited South Korea last year.
Yu added that it meant a lot for the foundation to sign a cooperation deal and establish an official partnership.
Yu noted that both sides had a similar goal of promoting welfare for young people and facilitating international exchanges between teenagers.
He expressed the hope that both sides would carry out activities to strengthen mutual understandings between teenagers from different countries and make greater contributions to the non-governmental exchanges between China and South Korea.
Kim thanked Yu for arranging the meeting and praised the CSCLF's achievements in promoting non-governmental exchanges and welfare.
She said that the cooperation project they signed was T&C Foundation's first large welfare project conducted in other country.
Kim believed that both sides would seize the opportunity to carry out more cooperation projects to promote international exchanges and welfare.

Following the meeting, the South Korean delegation visited Soong Ching Ling's Former Residence.
Among those attending the meeting was Ai Duo, director of the management committee of the Soong Ching Ling's Former Residence; Yang Hua, deputy director of the International Department of the CSCLF; Song Jian, deputy director of the Fund Department of the CSCLF and Tang Jianjun, an inspector at the CSCLF.
