The preschool education training program launched by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF) and the Macao Foundation began on July 15 at Guizhou Normal University.

The training program was intended to improve the teaching and management skills of teachers and managers at kindergartens. Renowned specialists in preschool education from across the country were invited to help train participants.
The training program is divided into two sessions, with each session lasting 10 days. Nearly 400 principals and teachers from kindergartens throughout Congjiang county, Guizhou province, participated in the program.
Lecturers for the program included Feng Xiaoxia, professor at Beijing Normal University, Hou Limin, professor at Guangxi Normal University, and Cui Xueyan, associate professor at Capital Normal University.

After the opening ceremony, a meeting was held to discuss the current status of preschool education in Congjiang county, as well as solutions to problems hindering the development of preschool education in the county.

CSCLF plans to continue cooperating with the Macao Foundation to provide training for educators in central and western China and promote the development of preschool education.
Song Jian, deputy director of the Fund Department of CSCLF, Zhao Ximing, deputy director of CSCLF's Center for Exchanges and Training, Guizhou education authorities, representatives from Guizhou Normal University, and nearly 200 teachers from kindergartens in Congjiang county, attended the opening ceremony.
Background
Since 2012, CSCLF and the Macao Foundation have hosted this training program for preschool educators in Guizhou, Guangxi, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Ningxia, and Inner Mongolia 12 times.
Over the years, the two organizations have also held 10 activities to facilitate exchanges between educators in Macao and the Chinese mainland.
Nearly 3,000 preschool workers have benefited from these activities.
