Over the 37 years since the founding of CSCLF, the foundation has made tremendous achievements with support from Chinese and foreign philanthropists, Song said.
Zhang Lijun said that his father's greatest concern during his life was education in China. He said that his father dreamed of establishing a foundation to support the development of education.
"Part of this donation is from my father", Zhang Lijun said, "it will be used to help support the development of education in underdeveloped areas and to raise awareness of the education quality in rural areas."
