With the theme of "being ready to be a new generation to take on the responsibility of national rejuvenation", the event invited young people emerging in different periods of China -including youth representatives from Hong Kong, Macao, poverty-stricken areas, old revolutionary base areas and some provinces and cities -- to participate in the event.

During the activity, stories were recounted by the representatives of outstanding young pioneers who have grown up under the care of the Party over the past 70 years. Their deeds were used to inspire the patriotic enthusiasm of contemporary youth, encourage them to forge ahead and thrive in the new era -- and integrate their personal growth into the great cause of building social justice and national rejuvenation.

He added that in particular, since the CPC's 18th National Congress in 2012, the Party Central Committee has stood at the strategic height in the development of the Party and the national cause, caring for the healthy growth of young people.

Adhering to the legacy of Soong Ching Ling, Wang said, the CSCLF has always taken caring for young people as an important mission. On the basis of constantly enhancing the modernity, the CSCLF had carried out many activities -- that are closely following the pulse of the times, full of positive energy and conducive to the healthy growth of young people -- which were deeply loved by the majority of young people. Wang expressed his hopes that the majority of young people could cherish their wonderful time, seize the opportunity of the times, work hard with the motherland, grow up together with the motherland, and strive to be a new generation to take on the responsibility of national rejuvenation.
