Wang Jiarui, chairman of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF) was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 20th World Knowledge Forum and delivered a keynote speech. The forum was opened in Seoul, South Korea, on the morning of Sept 25 and had a theme of "Knowledge Revolution 5.0: Perspicacity Towards Prosperity for All".
South Korean President Moon Jae-in sent a video message to the forum, while former Finnish Prime Minister Esco Aho delivered a speech and Chang Tae-hwan, chairman of the forum organizer-Maekyung Media Group-gave a welcome speech.
More than 2,000 guests and audiences from all over the world attended the opening ceremony and about 250 speakers and 3,500 audiences attended the forum.

Wang Jiarui met with Chang Tae-hwan after the opening ceremony of the forum. He exchanged views on the role of the media and civil diplomacy in promoting the healthy and stable development of China-ROK relations.

On the evening of Sept 25, Wang Jiarui attended the distinguished guests' welcome dinner of the 20th World Knowledge Forum. South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon, former French President Francois Hollande and Maekyung Media Group chairman Chang Tae-hwan attended the dinner and delivered speeches.
Chinese Ambassador to South Korea Qiu Guohong and the Vice-Chairman of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation Yu Qun also attended the event.
