Amounts of funding for individuals are set according to local living standards. Educational funding is appropriated as follows: RMB1,000 Yuan per year for pre-school education; RMB1,000 Yuan per year for the nine-year compulsory education; RMB2, 000 Yuan per year for high school; RMB6,000 Yuan per year for junior college and college education. Whoever drops out of school or starts working will no longer receive the fund.
