Scottish David Ferguson performed a traditional song with his son in this year's Children's Day Celebration. He learned about the song from a piano spectrum that owned by Soong Ching Ling.
David Ferguson works with the Foreign Languages Press. He learned the story of Soong Ching Ling through the editing work of "Sun Yat-sen Soong Ching Ling Cultural Relics Catalogue". In the Soong Ching Ling Museum in Shanghai, he found the song, which happened to be a Scottish song, and decided to learn it.
Soong Ching Ling was very involved with children in her lifetime and she worked on pushing forward the development of children welfare undertaking all her life. After the People's Republic of China was founded, it became a routine for her to took part the Children's Day Celebration.
