Rockcheck Group in Tianjing donated 10 million yuan to China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF) to set up "Xiangqing Tree of Life Charity Fund", which is aiming to support the social charity fairs in the field of medical care, science and education, culture and sports. The fund is also to commemorate the former president of Rockcheck Group and renowned private entrepreneur, Zhang Xiangqing, who passed away two years ago.
Zhang Xiangqing established Rockcheck Group with his wife Zhang Ronghua, Chairman of the Board of Rockcheck Group, in 1989. The company had been listed in the Top 500 companies in the past 12 consecutive years. The group handed in a total of 71 million yuan of taxes to Chinese government, created 8000 jobs and helped to arrange more than 3000 laid-off workers.
The Zhang Xiangqing couple also dedicated to charity fairs. The group has donated 450 million yuan of money and things to the society up to now, which has become one of the models of private enterprises to be enthusiastic about public welfare undertakings and fulfill their social responsibilities.
Zhang Ronghua said the setting up of the fund is a best way to commemorate Zhang Xiangqing. He is an earthquake orphan and grew up to be a president of a giant group under the social care and nourishment, so he was also willing to reward to the community.
