A book donation ceremony by Mr. Shi Hanji & Mr. Shi Guoji was held at the CPPCC Auditorium in Beijing to donate books to 65 libraries in Chinese mainland on March 18, 2016. Jointly held by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF), China Democratic League Central Committee and Hon Wing Book Co. Ltd in Hong Kong, the event is also an award ceremony for the 2nd Dr. Shi Jingyi Cup -- Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Competition. Li Haifeng, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC and He Luli, Former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of NPC and Former Chairman of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang Central Committee attended the ceremony. The event was hosted by Xu Hui, Deputy Secretary General of CPPCC and Vice Chairman of the China Democratic League Central Committee. Tang Wensheng, Vice Chairman of CSCLF made a speech at the ceremony.

Tang Wensheng, Vice Chairman of CSCLF praised Mr. Shi Jingyi and his son Shi Hanji and Shi Guoji in her speech saying that the Shi's family and its Hon Wing Book company all the time bear in mind the development of Chinese cultural affairs by donating books to Chinese mainland continuously in the past few decades in order to strengthen the cultural exchanges between Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Tang thanked the China Democratic League Central Committee and people from all walks of life for their trust in CSCLF and their support and participation in Chinese charity affairs. Tang hoped that public libraries would make good use of their own advantages and resources to widely guide citizens to read books and read good books and to let books light up their lives, inspire their lives.

As Former President of Hon Wing Book Co. Ltd and Honorary Doctor of Peking University, Mr. Shi Jingyi was Former Member of 6th to 9th CPPCC. He had donated more than 7 million books of Hong Kong and Taiwan versions to the public libraries, researching institutes and colleges of over 200 cities in Chinese mainland. This time the Shi brothers followed their father's willingness to donate 100 thousand books with a value of nearly 5 million Hong Kong dollars to the 65 libraries of 29 provinces through the help of CSCLF and China Democratic League Central Committee.
