Li Lanqing met with delegates of the First Plenary Session of the Fourth Council Meeting of the foundation in March 2001
Li Lanqing, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, vice premier of the State Council, He Luli, vice chairwoman of the National People's Congress, Wang Zhaoguo, vice chairman of CPPCC and director of the Department of United Front of the CPC Central Committee and Hu Qili, vice chairman of CPPCC met with all the council members of the foundation. In the meeting, vice premier Li addressed to the council members. In his speech, he fully affirmed the positions, roles and the work of the foundation in the modern society. He placed his hope on the future development of the foundation.
