Yu Qun sent CSCLF Chairman Wang Jiarui's regards to Leung and said that the China Soong Ching Foundation was founded in honor of Soong Ching Ling, the late honorary president of China, at the proposal of former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping.
The Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was released by the State Council not long ago.
The visit was meant to forge partnerships to promote the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and exchanges between teenagers, Yu said, adding that his delegation consisted entirely of CSCLF council members from art circles.
Leung welcomed the delegation and said that he hopes the visit will help Hong Kong strengthen people-to-people exchanges with the mainland. He also expressed hope that CPPCC members in Hong Kong would help Hong Kong people learn more about developments currently taking place in the Chinese mainland.
He expected Hong Kong communities to establish partnerships with CSCLF, promote exchanges between teenagers, and provide more opportunities for young people.
CSCLF council members Hu Xiaoming, Zhang Biao, Qiu Shuhong, Ding Jie, Yong Xiaoyan, Li Hong, Zhou Tao, Wang Liying and Chen Aimin attended the meeting.
During the delegation's stay in Hong Kong, they visited the Hong Kong Civil Affairs Bureau, the Our Hong Kong Foundation, the Hong Kong Army Cadets Association, City University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong branch of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, and the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
