The 9th Cross-Straits Charity Forum opened at two sites in Beijing and Xiamen concurrently on Dec. 10, 2021. More than 120 representatives from 54 public welfare organizations, universities, media outlets and businesses on both sides of the Strait attended the forum in person and online.

Hang Yuanxiang, executive vice chairman of CSCLF attended the opening ceremony in Beijing and delivered a speech. Referring to the ninth forum's theme, "Community Public Welfare: Making Homes Better," Hang said that building a better home through community public welfare has increasingly become a pressing topic of concern for people on both sides of the Strait.
"It is necessary to promote the spirit of volunteer service in community public welfare and improve the volunteer service system, so as to create a good social atmosphere," said Hang. He hoped the participants of the forum would take the opportunity to share their experiences and promote the development of community public welfare initiatives.

She said that public welfare activities could convey the positivity of love while contributing to the development of the community. She hoped the forum will continue to serve as a bridge for cross-strait communication, and draw together the hearts of residents across the Strait.

The forum established two sub-forum topics focusing on the roles that enterprises and young people play in promoting community public welfare. A total of 12 entrepreneurs, youth representatives, experts and scholars from both sides of the Taiwan Strait conducted in-depth discussions during the forum.
The forum was hosted by CSCLF in collaboration with organizations from the Mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
