On 29 October, 2020, Ceremony for the Eighth "SMIC Liver Transplant Program for Children" Annual Donation was held in Renji Hospital, Shanghai. Song Jian, Director of the Department of Fund of CSCLF; Zhou Zixue, SMIC's Chairman of the Board; Zhang Wenyi, SMIC's Honorary Chairman of the Board; Gao Yonggang, SMIC's CFO; Xia Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Renji Hospital; Min Jianying, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Renji Hospital; and representatives of 45 businesses donated to the program and families receiving the donation, attended the Ceremony.
This year, the "SMIC Liver Transplant Program for Children" received RMB 2.33 million in donations from SMIC and its staff and a cumulative total of RMB 1.80 million in donations from 73 other businesses. The donation will be used to fund liver transplants for impoverished children.

According to Song Jian, in the past 8 years, the "SMIC Liver Transplant Program for Children" has received a cumulative total of RMB 28.93 million in donations. A total of more than 500 children have been funded to complete the surgery and given a second life. CSCLF will continue to work together with SMIC and other businesses to safeguard the health of children.

According to Zhou Zixue, this year marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of SMIC. In the past 20 years, SMIC has been working closely with all stakeholders based on the corporate social responsibility strategy of "caring for people, the environment and society". With the help of CSCLF and Renji Hospital, SMIC will continue to carry out the "SMIC Liver Transplant Program for Children" to bring hope and happiness to more families.
