From 18th to 20th August, Jing Dunquan, Member of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of CSCLF, led a team to Qinghai and Gansu to carry out public welfare undertakings, covering vision care, education and targeted poverty alleviation. The trip was supported by Gansu United Front, Qinghai Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, Beijing Tongren Hospital, CMU, and Zhang Xiaolou Ophthalmic Public Welfare Foundation of Beijing Tongren Hospital. Wei Wenbin, CSCLF standing council member and deputy director of Beijing Tongren Hospital, attended the event.
On 19th August, the team led by Jing Dunquan listened to the work report from the Maternal and Child health Hospital of Ledu District, Haidong City, Qinghai Province. Jing Dunquan mentioned that, in addition to donating medical equipment, CSCLF will put more efforts into the training of medical workers to meet the increasing demand of the general public for healthcare services.

In the morning of 20th August, a donation ceremony was held in the experimental primary school of Dongxiang Autonomous County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture. Jing Dunquan introduced that, as part of its efforts to facilitate targeted poverty alleviation, CSCLF will donate facilities to schools in poor areas to promote the all-round development of children and pool in resources from the whole society to give more care and support to vulnerable groups. More than 100 teachers and students attended the ceremony.

During the trip, the team led by Jing Dunquan also visited welfare centers in the two provinces. Prof. Wei Wenbin gave lectures to local children and parents on vision care and organized free clinic to local residents.
