Famous Vocal Artists Gather in Shenzhen to Launch the Second "Shenzhen Singing Festival-China Vocal Talent Program"

  The Second "Shenzhen Singing Festival-China Vocal Talent Program" organized by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, the Publicity Department of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPC and the People's Government of Longgang District was launched in the afternoon of 8 August in the Concert Hall of Longgang Culture Center.

  In her speech, Tang Jiuhong, Deputy Secretary-General of CSCLF, said that the program aims to serve the development of culture in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area through encouraging the engagement of the public in cultural activities. CSCLF hopes to make contributions to the development of vocal talents and culture in general in China through joint efforts with other organizations.

  The Second "Shenzhen Singing Festival" was held in Shenzhen and several other cities during 7 to 18 August, 2020. The Festival, with the theme of "Singing the Story of China, Gathering Momentum for China", aims to establish a professional and efficient platform for outstanding vocal talents in China and promote exchange and cooperation between Chinese and foreign artists, art troupes and art schools.

  In July, 2020, trainees of the First "Shenzhen Singing Festival" held in 2019 went to poverty-stricken areas in Southwest China for charity performance and education assistance. Outstanding trainees of 2020 will go to Chengdu and Liangshan in Sichuan Province to give charity performance.

  The Second "Shenzhen Singing Festival" invited top vocal artists in China to train the 40 talented young singers selected from 1,600 candidates, including students from art schools at home and abroad, members of art troupes and award-wining professional singers.


  In August, 2019, CSCLF and Lei Jia, famous soprano and Deputy Director of the PLA Art Troupe, jointly launched the "Music Dream Fund" to encourage the engagement of the public in cultural and art activities and make contributions to the realization of the two centennial goals and the dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
