Recently, Mr. Tarumi Hideo, Japanese Ambassador to China and his delegation visited the Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling.
Mr. Ambassador visited the exhibitions of Soong Ching Ling's life, original displays and the courtyard, read relevant historical materials of Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching Ling during their stay in Japan. He asked about the situation at that time and watched the furnishings of the bedroom and study, and learned about a much-told story about Anthurium flowers between Soong Ching Ling and her Japanese friends.
Beneath the cherry tree co-planted by Chinese and Japanese, Mr. Tarumi and Vice Chairman Jing Dunquan reviewed the two sides' friendly exchanges in history. They wished to strengthen cooperation and make joint efforts to push forward China-Japan ties and civil communications.
Yoshiko Kijima, Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan in China and director of the Press and Culture Center, Masaru Okada, Counsellor of the Consular Services Department of the Embassy of Japan in China, Chen Aimin, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of CSCLF; Song Jian, Director of the Department of Fund and Ai Duo, Director of the Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling Management Center attended the visit.
